What stays on your computer

Your Microsoft/Minecraft sign-in, your Discord authorization and your settings are stored only on your own computer. We never receive your passwords or tokens.

Useless Network (friends, chat, cosmetics)

When the Useless Network is enabled, the client signs in with your Minecraft account the same way a Minecraft server does (Mojang's session server confirms who you are). We store: your Minecraft UUID and name, your friends and friend requests, the last 100 private messages per conversation, your selected cosmetics, your online status and the server you are playing on (shared only with your friends), and when you were last online.

Useless Anti-Cheat

When the client finds a mod that is not allowed (for example Freecam or a cheat client), it reports the mod's ID and name to the Useless Network, even if the network is turned off. We store, per Minecraft UUID: whether you were warned, your strike count (0-4), whether you are banned, and the last 30 reports. The first report is a warning; each later attempt is a strike; at 4 strikes the account can no longer use the Useless Client. To appeal a ban, write to the contact address below.

Discord

If you connect Discord, the client talks to the Discord app on your computer to show Rich Presence and, for testers, to control voice calls. This data stays between your computer and Discord.

Hosting

The Useless Network runs on Cloudflare Workers; Cloudflare processes connection data (such as IP addresses) to operate the service.

Your rights

You can turn the Useless Network off in the client settings at any time. To have your stored data deleted or to ask what is stored about you, write to the contact address below.
